At Nexus K9, we believe the first seven months of a dog’s life are among the most important. That is why our Puppy Head Start program begins as early as 10 weeks old and continues through approximately eight months of age.

Because every puppy, family, home, and lifestyle is different, this is not a one-size-fits-all training program. Every Puppy Head Start plan is fully customized around your puppy’s personality, developmental needs, current behaviors, your family’s goals, and the way you want life with your dog to look.

The program combines private training sessions with board-and-train experiences. This allows us to coach you through the process while also giving your puppy focused, professional training at our welcoming and structured property.

During the board-and-train portion of the program, we help your puppy develop everything from everyday manners and household structure to reliable on-leash and off-leash obedience.

You will also enjoy access to our boarding and daycare services during the program. These services provide valuable opportunities for your puppy to experience new people, dogs, sounds, routines, and environments in a safe and supervised setting.
