Your dog deserves more than a kennel run and a water bowl. At Nexus K9, daycare and boarding are an extension of the structure, training, and care your dog already knows — delivered on 11 country acres, by people who genuinely love what they do.
Every dog enrolled at Nexus K9 goes through our Integrative Evaluation — a two-day boarding stay that lets our team get to know your dog before they join our programs. This ensures the right fit for your dog, your family, and every other dog in our care.

Our daycare memberships operate on a weekly (7 day) membership basis with extremely limited availability. This is for the client who is looking for consistent, weekly daycare attendance.

Who Is the Best Fit for Daycare?
Our daycare is a great fit for social, energetic dogs who thrive around people and other dogs. We welcome dogs with no history of aggression or resource guarding, and all daycare dogs must be crate trained — if your pup isn’t quite there yet, our training team can help get them ready.
If you hate the idea of your dog spending the day alone at home while you’re at work, daycare is exactly what you’ve been looking for.
Commitment, Payment and Discount Policy
Daycare Membership Policies
We’ve structured our daycare program to be simple, consistent, and fair for every family in our community. Here’s what you need to know before getting started.
Membership Commitment
Daycare memberships are billed weekly. Once a membership is purchased, it is non-refundable — but you’re never locked in long-term. When your current week expires, you’re under no obligation to continue. If you need to step away, just notify us before your next auto-draft processes to avoid being charged for the upcoming week.
We offer memberships as full weekly commitments only — partial weeks are not available, and any approved breaks must also be taken in full-week increments.
A note on availability: We keep our membership roster intentionally small so every dog gets the attention they deserve. If you end your membership and decide to return later, you’ll be placed at the end of our waiting list. In the meantime, you’re welcome to purchase a daycare package to keep your pup in the routine until a membership spot opens up.
Membership Discounts
One of the perks of being a Nexus K9 daycare member is access to discounted boarding rates. Here’s how it works: the discount applies to any boarding night that is directly preceded by a day of daycare — so your dog spends the day with us, stays the night, and you save. To keep the discount active, your membership must remain continuous from the time you book your boarding reservation through the date your dog heads home. Any gap in membership during that window will revert your boarding to the standard rate. This policy covers all current and future member discounts.
Unused Credits
Once a membership is purchased, unused credits are non-refundable. We appreciate your understanding — this allows us to maintain staffing and space commitments for every dog in our care.
Scheduled Closures
We take two planned breaks from daycare each year — the weeks of Thanksgiving and Christmas. While daycare is on pause those weeks, our boarding services remain fully available, so your dog always has a safe, familiar place to stay during the holidays.
In the rare event of a closure due to a natural disaster or circumstances outside our control, we are unable to issue refunds for affected days. We’ll always keep you informed as quickly as possible.

Step 2: Two-Day Integrative Evaluation:
Your dog stays with us for two full days so our team can observe their behavior, temperament, and how they interact with our environment, our team, and other dogs. This ensures every enrolled dog is a great fit.
Step 3: Results and enrollment:
We share our findings and personal recommendations. If it’s a great fit, we get your dog enrolled and scheduled. Dogs with training needs may be referred to the appropriate program first.
Step 4: Ongoing care:
Once enrolled, your dog is part of the Nexus K9 family. Consistent structure, enrichment, and daily updates keep you connected every step of the way.
