Our Signature Coaching Program exists for situations where a Board & Train may not be the best fit, yet training goals still need to be met at a high standard.
This is not a “cheaper alternative” or a casual group class. It is a high-level owner-coaching program designed for clients who are both capable and willing to take an active role in training under professional guidance.
Unlike traditional private lesson programs, our Signature Coaching Program is:

- Already implementing training at home.

Learning Objectives:
Your sessions are designed to focus on your pain points and help you find success with your dog. Through thorough communication, your expert trainer will patiently walk you through our customized process to help you achieve success! We’ll start with a strong foundation and build from there. Each program will be unique as each dog, home, and family.
Some of the items that can be covered include:
- Intensive Obedience Training
Our expert trainers will guide your dog to master a range of commands including:- Sit (with an implied stay)
- Down (with an implied stay)
- Come/Recall
- Loose Leash Walking (demonstrating environmental neutrality)
- Place (with an implied stay)
- Leave It
Each command is rigorously proofed to ensure reliability both on-leash and off-leash.
- Manners and House Etiquette
We focus on cultivating a balanced temperament and respectful behavior, covering:- Courteous greetings for guests
- Environmental neutrality in varied settings
- Respect for household thresholds
- Controlled responses to doorbells, knocks, and visitors
- Confidence during vet visits and public outings
- Program Outcomes: Clients who faithfully and consistently implement the coaching techniques provided should expect significant improvement in their dog’s behavior and training progress.
Training Locations
All training sessions will take place at one of the following locations. The training locations are at the sole discretion of the trainer.
- Nexus K9 Facility 5712 Pearl LN, Ellabell, GA 31308
- Stilson Park 15340 State Rte 119C, Brooklet, GA 30415
- Owner’s home (If there are specific issues that can only be addressed at the home, 1 of the sessions may be conducted at the owner’s home. We only offer this if the owner resides within 45 minutes of the facility).
The session will be 1 hour in length.
Equipment and Methods
Nexus K9 uses a combination of positive reinforcement techniques along with a variety of tools, including but not limited to prong and ecollar training. These are all used in different configurations depending on the dog’s temperament, goals to be achieved, and the place in the dog’s training.
Signature Coaching Program-What’s Included:
For owners who qualify, the Signature Coaching Program provides a highly guided, structured coaching experience designed to help you train your dog under professional direction. This program focuses on clear communication, handler skill development, and consistent follow-through.
Program Includes:
✔ Six (6) months of professional support
Work closely with your trainer over an extended period to reinforce skills and build momentum.
✔ Up to eight (8) private coaching sessions
Each session is one hour and focused on building specific obedience and lifestyle skills.
✔ Customized training plan
Built around your goals, routine, environment, and the dog’s learning needs.
✔ Real-world training environments
Sessions may take place at:
• our facility
• parks or public spaces
• pet-friendly stores
• or in-home (if located within service radius)
Locations are selected by your trainer to promote generalization and real-world performance.
✔ Between-session trainer access
Clients may contact their trainer with questions related to program goals via phone, text, or email for guidance between sessions.
✔ Training equipment included if needed
If your trainer determines that specific training tools are necessary for success, they are included at no additional cost.
✔ Owner coaching and education
We teach you:
• how to handle your dog correctly
• when to reward or correct behaviors
• how to set structure and boundaries
• how to maintain progress long-term
This focus on the owner’s skillset is what makes results sustainable beyond the program.
